We would like to welcome our NEW mortgage servicing customers to OwnersChoice Funding. We have updated our FAQs with many of the standard servicing transfer questions to assist with making this transition as smooth as possible for you. Why was my mortgage transferred?

It is quite common in the mortgage industry to transfer the servicing of mortgage loans to another institution and is in no way a direct reflection on you.

What is a mortgage servicing transfer?

Mortgage servicing transfer is when the mortgage servicing is sold from one servicer to another. The terms of the loan do not change. Only who the payment is made to and where it’s sent changes.

What if I do not want my loan transferred?

Your loan is already in the transfer process, so we will work hard to earn your trust. We hope you will be happy with this change.

Do the terms of my loan change?

No, the terms of your loan do not change. Only your account number and who you make the payment to changes after the transfer date.

Do I need to contact anyone about the transfer?

No, your prior servicer will contact your insurance company and taxing authority to give them OwnersChoice’s information if necessary. If you currently escrow for taxes and receive a copy of the tax bill, use the following information:

Can I access my mortgage information online?

Yes, you can access loan information online by setting up an online account with OwnersChoice Funding. Please go to https://ownerschoice.estatusconnect.com/ to set up an account.

Will I receive a billing statement?

Yes, you will receive a billing statement from OwnersChoice Funding after the transfer date.

What do I do if I already sent my payment to my previous servicer?

Don’t worry! Your previous servicer will forward your payment to OwnersChoice Funding for 30-60 days after the transfer date. After that time, they may return your payment to you.

I make payments using bill pay with my bank. What should I do to continue my payment deductions?

Please contact your bill payment provider and update the payee, remittance address and your new loan number with the OwnersChoice Funding’s information.

My payments are made automatically. Will that information be transferred to OwnersChoice Funding?

No, but you can sign up for automatic payments by visiting https://ownerschoice.estatusconnect.com/, Create an account, choose Payment Options, and pick Recurring Payments.

What options are available for making my monthly mortgage payment?

We offer many convenient, hassle-free ways for you to make your monthly mortgage payment.

Set Up Automatic Payments: Have your payment automatically deducted each month from any checking account. You can sign up for automatic payments by visiting https://ownerschoice.estatusconnect.com/, create an account, choose Payment Options, and pick Recurring Payments. You can also call 800-342-4998 Option 6 to talk to one of our customer service representatives to get the process started. If the due date falls on a weekend or holiday, your payment will be deducted the business day prior to the weekend or holiday.

Send a Check: OwnersChoice Funding Inc., PO Box 12880, Albany, NY 12210. Please make check payable to OwnersChoice Funding Inc. and be sure to include your OwnersChoice loan number.

Pay by Phone: Call an agent to make a payment over the phone, Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. ET at 800-342-4998 Option 6. There may be a fee for this option where legally permitted.

My tax and/or insurance payments are made by my mortgage company. Will this continue?

Yes, if you currently have an escrow account for your tax and/or insurance payments, they will continue to be collected and paid by OwnersChoice Funding Inc. from your escrow account.

What will happen with the current balance in my new escrow account?

All escrow balances (positive and negative) are transferred to OwnersChoice Funding.

What will happen with payments due from my escrow account?

If your loan is escrowed for taxes and/or insurance and these amounts are due during the transfer period, your previous servicer will make these payments on your behalf. OwnersChoice Funding Inc. will make any necessary payments after that from your escrow account.

Will my escrow analysis date change? When will I receive an escrow analysis statement?

Your escrow analysis date may change. You will receive a new escrow analysis statement within 60 days of the transfer date.

Do I need to contact my taxing authority or insurance company about the transfer?

No, your prior servicer will contact your insurance company and taxing authority to give them OwnersChoice’s information if necessary. If you currently escrow for taxes and receive a copy of the tax bill, use the following information:

Who do I contact with questions?

If you have questions before the date of the transfer, your current servicer will answer your mortgage servicing questions. After the transfer date, please contact OwnersChoice Funding Inc. in one of the following ways:
